We are looking to hire a part-time Criminal Record Processing Agent for our Herriman, UT office, to work with our client service and drug screening teams in helping them process background checks for our customers from around the United States. If you have previous experience in an extremely detail-oriented field, love working with people to creatively solve their problems, and are looking to expand your skill set to build a better career, this job is for you!

Do you know how companies have someone run background checks on their new employees? Well, we are that "someone"! Our job is to find out if the person that a company wants to hire has a criminal record or was honest about their job application. We search criminal court records to find criminal records, send new employees to drug screening clinics to take their pre-employment drug tests, and find out if they actually worked for the companies that they say they've worked for. Companies count on us to tell them if the person they want to hire is safe to hire. That is a big responsibility which we take seriously -- but we also have fun while we do it!

Founded over 15 years ago, ProScreening provides background checks, hiring software and other services to over 6000 small and mid-sized companies throughout the United States. We have grown to employ over 140 fun-loving geeks and have offices in Herriman, Eagle Mountain, and St. George, Utah. Our company culture plays a large part in our success. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CRIMINAL RECORD PROCESSING AGENT

Currently, we have an expanding team of background check processors (whom we call Criminal Record Processing Agents) who have varying levels of experience in the background screening industry or just processing background checks in general. They struggle to process all of the orders that our clients place each day because we are growing so rapidly. Our clients also struggle with the complicated nature of how background checks work and need a team of experts to rely on to get the job done quickly so that they can fill their open positions.

That's where you come in. Your job will be to ensure that our clients consistently receive accurate results for every background check they order and that it gets done quickly!

When an order comes in you will actively look through the individuals personal information determining where they may have lived or worked in the past. Then you'll direct our team of field researchers to the proper courthouses to look for criminal records. Some days you might be asked to call a court directly to speak with a clerk to confirm case details. Other days you might look at Motor Vehicle Records to determine if we should alert our clients to anything specific. Each day will vary in what you see which keeps the job interesting.

As you get settled into the job you'll be asked to help make the processes of the team more efficient, develop your skill sets around the various regulations that we follow and learn additional skills necessary for our operation.

Your day will be filled with a steady flow of work to do, but it will be varied so that you don't get bored. You'll use your creativity to come up with solutions to problems, report on your metrics regularly, and you'll review your work with your supervisor to ensure our level of service is being maintained!

At this point, you might be saying: "man that sounds overwhelming..." Don't worry... we are going to train you. Not only do we have a great training program, and checklists to follow as you do each of your daily tasks, but since you will be working in just one industry you will quickly become a knowledge expert on the criminal record processing agent jobs and duties.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CRIMINAL RECORD PROCESSING AGENT

  • Extremely Detail Oriented
  • +2 years of Data Analysis/Entry experience or experience in a related field
  • Great organization and communication skills
  • Above average computer skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • We will train the right person on the technical aspects of our software and good background check and drug screening practices!
